What Is Underground Factory?

The Objects of Terror underground factory brings a BFDI-inspired location into the game's 1v7 asymmetrical horror matches. Contestants need to survive the Co-Host, while the Co-Host's goal is to eliminate every Contestant. Understanding the shared survival mechanics gives you something useful to focus on as you learn the map.

Underground Factory is part of the Public Beta map lineup alongside 5B, Noctiluca Cavern, Evil Forest, and Purgatory Mansion. Its inspiration is Battle for Dream Island, while the other locations draw from BFDIA and II2.

Survival Mechanics to Learn

The beta includes eight types of items to find around each map. Read their descriptions as you learn what each one does, and use the in-game info menu to get familiar with basic mechanics and character abilities.

Recovery Centers let players revive dead Contestants. Keep reviving teammates in mind alongside your own survival: an elimination does not have to leave that player out of the action permanently.

Three systems shape the Contestant side of a match:

• Contestant objectives encourage players to contribute to their team.
• Rankings reward team contribution.
• Last Object Standing activates when only one Contestant remains, giving that survivor a buff.

Work on objectives and look for opportunities to revive teammates rather than focusing entirely on staying alive alone. Last Object Standing strengthens the remaining survivor, but it activates only after everyone else has been eliminated.

Practice Before Learning Under Pressure

Use a free private server to explore with friends and test mechanics. The private server panel provides controls for changing how you play, making it useful for learning character interactions while getting familiar with the factory.

In Beta 1.0.1, private servers have a player requirement like normal servers, but you can disable that requirement through the panel. Turn it off when you want to practice with a smaller group.

Before practicing, open the info menu and read the guide for your chosen character. Contestant roles range from support and defense to trapping and stunning, so learning your abilities gives your exploration a practical purpose. For example, Blocky is a Trapper / Stunner, while Dr Fizz is a Support / Defender.
